Penn & Tylers Green  3 – 0  Henley Town

Penn were keen to get their pre season back on track after their disappointed defeat to Flackwell Heath midweek. Henley (promoted to the Hellenic Premier Division last season) were today’s opponents who themselves were eager to get a win.

Penn started the better side creating chance after chance but with no reward. This was starting to become a familiar theme this season. Penn fans were wary that these missed opportunities would come back to haunt them by full time. However just before the break Penn were awarded a penalty. The ball promptly flew into the bottom right hand corner of the net leaving the keeper with no chance. 1 – 0. The half time whistle went with Penn in the lead however it should have been more.

Unfortunately Kieran Latta sustained a reoccurrence of his ankle injury during the warm up which limited his activities to exercises supervised by our physio Lauren Humphrey.
